Professor Lea Waters (Ph.D) is a researcher, psychologist, consultant, author and public speaker.

Lea is president-elect of the International Positive Psychology Association. Her work has been recognised at the highest levels including the Marquis Who's Who in the World.

She works to bring positive psychology to children, teenagers, parents, schools and organizations in order to enhance their mental health.

Lea has been a registered psychologist for 22 years and a researcher at the University of Melbourne, Australia, for 20 years. She has been awarded 2 National University Teaching Excellence Awards by the Australian Government.

In 2015 she was listed in the Top 100 Women of Influence in Australia by the Financial Times and Westpac bank.

Lea is currently writing her first book on strength-based parenting with Penguin Press and is co-creator of Positive Detective, a wellbeing and positive education program for schools.
