Penny is a highly regarded and experienced educational leader and accredited executive coach, who brings over 40 years as a teacher and principal in NSW schools to her role as Lead Consultant and Coach at GCI. Her dynamic and energetic approach to workshop facilitation and her experience and deep knowledge of professional learning have enabled her to build relationships withschools across all education sectors. As a presenter, her engaging informative style, her depth of experience and knowledge and ability to relate to others make both small and large group sessions valuable and enjoyable.

As Lead Consultant in NSW, Penny facilitates a broad range of Growth Coaching courses and works with schools and networks of schools across the state, supporting them to develop their own approaches to using coaching conversations and a ‘coaching approach’ in all aspects of leadership and teaching.

As the recipient of a NSW Leadership Fellowship award, Penny researched leadership accreditation in school systems in the UK and North America. Her passion for building leadership capacity was exemplified by roles in Principals’ associations and advisory and planning teams for principal professional learning. Penny has continued this commitment to professional growth at gci and has added a range of short courses to her resume, most recently Solutions Focused Business Professional from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

In addition, Penny is the Education Director on the Board of the LBW (Learning for a Better World) Trust.

The trust supports young men and women in developing cricket playing nations to undertake tertiary or vocational training.In this role and with the support of the GCI foundation, Penny has travelled to Tanzania on three occasions, providing coach training to teachers and school leaders.
