Andrea Federico

Managing Consultant VIC/TAS

Andrea is responsible for the management of Victorian and Tasmanian operations. This includes facilitating GCI programs, consulting according to client needs, coaching clients and managing the team of Victorian and Tasmanian facilitators.

Andrea has worked in education for 35 years, in various roles, across several educational sectors. She began her career as a secondary mathematics teacher undertaking several leadership roles including subject coordination, leading teacher and cluster educator before being appointed as a Primary Assistant Principal, Principal and Executive Chair for her Principal Network.

She has a passion for coaching having completed all GCI programs as a participating educator and coaching her own staff to build capacity, generate purposeful conversations that lead to decisive actions and to create a coaching culture underpinned by trust and a ‘way of being’. She developed a whole school coaching program and used the growth model as the vehicle for giving feedback and supporting staff whilst ensuring productive and action orientated conversations to drive school improvement.

As Executive Chair for the Keilor/St Albans Network she coached other colleagues and led a GCI coaching professional learning program for Principals and emerging leaders in the network. Principals as coaches encouraged reflective practice, self-development and an energy amongst colleagues.
