Di Henning has extensive experience as a coach, consultant and facilitator having worked with Growth Coaching International since 2006. Di facilitates several of GCI’s key programs: Coaching Accreditation Program, Peer Coaching: Positive Conversations About Teaching Practice and Introduction to Leadership Coaching and she coaches school leaders. She provides support and development for GCI coaches and within that role she has worked with a colleague to develop the program Reflective Practice, an approach to supervision for all GCI coaches. Di is currently working on the provision of Reflective Practice as a program available for practicing coaches within the education sector.

Di’s background includes an extensive career in the Education Department of Tasmania becoming principal of a secondary school. Since moving to a career in coaching, Di has worked as facilitator, consultant and coach with school and system leaders, leadership teams and teachers in State, Catholic and Independent schools from Tasmania, Victoria, ACT, WA, NSW and QLD. Drawing upon her understanding of teaching and learning and requirements for successful teacher professional learning, Di developed with a colleague Growth Coaching’s much sought-after program Peer Coaching: Positive Conversations About Teaching Practice.

Di has a BA and Graduate Diplomas of Teaching and of Librarianship from the University of Tasmania. She is an Accredited Coach with Growth Coaching International, a Certified Cognitive Coach with the Centre for Cognitive Coaching (USA) and has completed a Solution Focused Business Professional Certificate at the University of Wisconsin. Di is an Accredited Practitioner of the psychometric tools – GENOS Emotional Intelligence Survey and Human Synergistics Life Skills Inventory and she is a member of the International Coaching Federation.

Di has attended and presented workshops at a number of ACEL and GCI/CSE national conferences and published articles in the ACEL journal, The Australian Educational Leader.
